Using proprietary adaptive filtering technology and best-in-class spectral inversion, SIGMA³ allows thinly bedded geology to be properly imaged and interpreted.
Our geophysicists also make use a suite of other spectral decomposition, deterministic and stochastic inversion, and curvature algorithms to reveal subtle details about the formations of interest. High-resolution pre-stack elastic inversion estimates elastic properties, and both deterministic and stochastic approaches can be used in the post-stack case. Our experience indicates that these rock mechanical properties (and the derived rock brittleness) provide an accurate means of assessing which properties influence hydraulic fracture stimulation success and ultimately the performance of the well.
